Based on the result of the polls, we are holding our ALUMNI ONLINE CHIKAHAN (call it meeting if you want to be boring, he he he) on December 20, 2008.  No software install, sign-up or log-in is required to participate.  Simply click the link provided at the sidebar, type-in http://brshsaachat.blogspot.com/ into your URL bar, or simply click this link (opens in a new window) to visit the chat page and start chatting with other alumni at the designated time and date.

The following are the things you need to know and remember:

Participants:

All BRSHS Alumni are encouraged to participate - even those who can not attend the Homecoming.  The Getting to Know part of the agenda is still important.  Those who are going to be at the Homecoming will also find the upcoming event more enjoyable if you have already been able to talk with other people from other batches.

There is no pressure to attend.  However, you are all encouraged to be present especially if you have some unanswered questions or are having a difficult time coordinating with others regarding the Homecoming Event.

What You Need:

• A computer

• Internet connection - the faster, the better

Guidelines:

We are using the online chat platform from Meebo.  Therefore, please remember that this is going to be a public chat.  in line with this, please remember the following security and privacy guidelines:

• Please do not post your important personal information during our chat.  To convey sensitive personal information to one or more alumni, we should actually use the BRSHSAA Forum’s Private Messaging; the Forum boards is still accessible to guests - as the forum “ghosts” would have likely noticed by now.  We can also simply send each other emails.
• Please do not post financial bank account numbers, credit card numbers, debit card numbers, and other financial important information during our chat.

Once you have loaded the website, these are the things you can do:

• Edit your profile for the chat by clicking the “Edit Nickname” and “Edit Info” links found at the bottom part of the chat window.
• Type your message by clicking on the text input window (that’s where you’ll see the instruction, “Type Here and Hit Enter to Send a Message”)

Since this is going to be a multi-channel chat, please don’t forget your manners.  Okay lang makulit, pero let’s respect others’ right to ask questions and have their questions answered.  For this reason, we are going to deal with the important matters first.  Magbigayan na lang po tayo sa chat board.

NOTE:  I could have embedded this chat page in our site; however, chat boards can be hijacked by malicious individuals and I did not want to jeopardize this site.  Thus, I have deemed it wiser to host it in blogspot.
